Rethinking Christmas

Markus and Celia Bockmuehl invite Cuddington friends and others to join them at their home for three evenings of study and celebration about Advent and Christmas.

We will meet for an hour on three Monday nights, 8-9 pm November 28, December 12 and January 2. Markus will speak for 15-20 minutes and introduce a discussion. Refreshments will be served. For the last 20 minutes we will switch gear and hear about a practical Christmas custom – seasonal prayers and decorations, continental baking recipes, a different sort of Advent calendar, etc.

If you would like to come, please register at www.is.gd/Advent16. Space will initially be limited to 15 participants.

· November 28 How could Mary become the Mother of the Son of David?
· December 12 Ten Things You Never Knew About the Christmas Story – and Were Afraid to Ask!
· January 2 The Infant Jesus and His Family – Religious Jews and Syrian Refugees in Africa? The stories behind the festivals of Epiphany and Candlemas

Note: Markus will also be preaching at the Carol service on Christmas Eve at 7 pm in Cuddington church.
